How to Choose the Right Frame Size for Children
How our frames are measured

At Kids Eyewear, proper sizing is important not only for comfort but also for healthy vision development. One of the most reliable ways to choose the right frame size is by looking at your child’s PD (pupillary distance) — the distance between the centres of the pupils.

General PD Ranges for Children

未标题-2.jpg

· Toddlers (2–4 years): PD usually around 40–46mm

· Younger children (5–8 years): PD usually around 46–50mm

· Older children (9–12 years): PD usually around 50–54mm

Choosing a Frame Based on PD

· A child’s PD should align closely with the optical centre of the lenses.

· For best results, select a frame where the lens centre (determined by lens width + bridge width) matches your child’s PD.

· Frames that are too wide or too narrow may cause discomfort or reduce lens effectiveness in myopia control.
